Let’s start with strollers. They are- for a reason- the pinnacle mom product. I own 4. I have 3 children.

Warning: These are all high-end, expensive strollers. I plan to mommy for a while and it is worth the investment for me. I also am 100% a bassinet mom and I want my babies lying flat from newborn- 6 months as much as possible. Every stroller I chose needed to have that feature. Also, I may receive commission for links you click on. I am always honest and say exactly what I think (yes, I embarrass my children.)
The first one I got while expecting baby #1, is the UPPAbaby Vista. It is a classic, feels like it could survive a bomb, and has a basket big enough for all the shopping.
I love the bassinet (approved for overnight sleeping) as my first was born while we lived in a small apartment and this was the only sleeping item we used. The Vista is sturdy, cozy for baby, fits a ton, and has a great push.
Can the Vista be the only single stroller you ever own? Yes- and I solely had it (plus my travel double) for my first two- as long as you do not mind it taking over a nice amount of trunk space when you travel.
Can the Vista be the only double stroller you ever own? I did intend to use it as my only double but I did not love it. The arrangement is awkward with the bassinet and it started tipping over once baby #2 got bigger. Some of my friends use it with no problem, and others go straight to a side-by-side double, like I eventually did.
Leading us to stroller number 2, the Bugaboo Donkey. I bought it used from a friend for $400 and you should buy it used too. People who buy Bugaboos can afford to get rid of great condition ones.
It is a double stroller with great seating options (one kid can face you, while the other faces away) and has a long bassinet that fits tall babies well or short ones for a long time. The stroller is narrow (only a few inches wider than my UPPAbaby), has a great push and I added the ride-on board (I am too short to do this with a single) which my kids love.
Cons: The basket is small and hard to access. It also never feels as sturdy as my UPPAbaby. If I was not already embarrassed that I own 4 strollers with 3 children, I would probably keep my donkey for use when I have a newborn and switch out to a Baby Jogger Citi Mini GT2 (black on sale here) or a Valco Baby Trend Duo when both kids are in regular seats.
Now onto travel strollers:
My double is the Zoe Twin. It has the longest canopy I have ever seen on a stroller, is super lightweight (meets many airline weight limits), and lies almost flats for newborns. It has a great basket considering it is a travel stroller, and a one hand push (I did not realize how convenient this is until the first time I used one of those umbrella shaped handles where you need both hands at all times). It came with cup holders for the kids and has well-placed pockets on the seat backs. You can tell parents invented this stroller, as they thought of everything you need on a long day out.
Is it an excellent travel stroller? Yes. Is it too heavy to push with two kids and is it too small-wheeled for an everyday stroller. Yes.
Lastly, is my deep love for my newest little guy, the Babyzen YoYo2. This little one is so lightweight, yet so sturdy. He pushes on a dime, has a foldable bassinet option (mind blowing honestly and the reason I chose it over others) and rolls down the aisle of an airplane then fits in the overhead bin. I mean come on. He can maneuver through the tightest of spots and you never feel like you are in everyone’s way. Grab a stroller hook to hold your bags (the basket holds a surprising amount but the hook is easier) and a ride-on board for tired toddlers and you are good to go.
Would I recommend this stroller for everyday use as your solo single? Probably not, as it is small and cannot hold what my UPPAbaby can, but if you just want one single and do not need the basket space, you will do well with just the YoYo.
